Café Series lunch

Every Tuesday from 1st September - Pontardawe Arts Centre

Pontardawe Arts Centre is launching a new Café Series in advance of the opening of its new Café. Starting from 1st September, every Tuesday there will be an interactive event based around 'words', from poems and plays, to acoustic songs and storytelling.

Storytelling circle Tall Tales & Short Stories is held on the 1st Tuesday of every month, offering an opportunity to hone your storytelling skills with our resident host Lynda Lawrence and a guest storyteller.

Poetry evening Pomes Penyeach – a penny for each of your poems!

is on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, with open mic hosted by acclaimed poet Brian Smith, with a guest spot for a nationally renowned poet.

The 3rd Tuesday of every month hosts Script Café with Peacock Vein, an innovative collaboration of writing talent from across South Wales; a platform for new and emerging scriptwriters. An opportunity to air new work and for an audience to discuss techniques of scriptwriting.

Acoustic Meeting Ground is held on the 4th Tuesday of every month,

presenting the very best in roots-based songs and music and providing a platform for new and old music where fresh sounds and ancient tones can combine. Each month will focus on different musical styles and genres featuring special guest artistes and floor spots hosted by resident band - BEAR BONES.
